INFRASTRUCTURE, RECONCILLIATION, AND STIMULUS

I previously pointed out that even though Dems were told they had 2 more reconciliation plays before October, it would be the strategically smart thing to combine both of their infrastructure bills into one and use one of those cards, reserving the other for anything else that may come up before the count resets in October.

I'm not saying I advocate this or their bills.

I am saying, STRATEGICALLY it would be the smart play, especially since so much of what they promised and what they want will never be agreed to by enough Republicans to pass.

So, now we have some changes.

Apparently, a review of the rules corrected the previous decision (that's what they get for wasting time instead of striking while the iron is hot lol) and they only have one reconciliation play left, as originally believed.

With that in mind, they are likely going to have to combine everything into one bill: Infrastructure bills one and two, plus any other stimulus-type things they want to do.

It is clear the Republicans are not going to sign off on huge chunks of it and meanwhile the clock is ticking. If they want a summer break and for voters to not figuratively crucify them, they need to act soon.

While some Dems are not on board with various aspects of any of it, it would be an easy play to compromise by having everyone agree to everything so their own pet projects get passed. Cooperation and agreement, the way these crooks (Congress) operate, is how they can and likely will pass their wet dream package.

Now I call it a wet dream package, but there are a few things they are not allowed to do via reconciliation - everything has to be directly related to the budget, so they will have to tackle those things, as well as trying to gain sufficient RINO support, in order to check off those items.

So will next week bring a shiny new, massive package with everything but the kitchen sink in it -including possibly a fourth stimulus check AND ongoing payments until the pandemic is officially declared over (or for one year beyond that point)?

We'll see.

But it's probably more likely than not.
