Today the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors (BOS) used that golden ticket handed to them on a silver platter by Senate President Karen Fann (in her letter, which was leaked - i.e. not supposed to be public) and held a presser one day ahead of her pre-announced public meeting.
They used the time in between to get their stories straight, meet with lawyers, and get ahead of things - controlling the narrative. And they made it clear they have no intention of meeting with her tomorrow at the public meeting.
Fann tossed the power to them like it was a hot potato and not only did they catch it, they are holding it tightly.
During their presser, as expected, they went full bullshit mode, lying, making false accusations, playing victim, character assassinating - the whole nine yards.
Now tomorrow's big presser by Fann will look weak. Now what can she do? What can the Senate do? Actually finally enforce the subpoenas and arrest those who are in contempt? That will just look like retaliation and ...
