Toni Shuppe of Audit the Vote PA mentioned on George's "Behizy" show that a lot of people can't name the three branches of government or two of the five freedoms named in the first amendment.
Even our elected can't and since they swear an oath to uphold and protect the Constitution, they should!
Schoolhouse Rock has a great video that explains the three branches, but I can list them here to get you started:
1. Executive
2. Legislative
3. Judiciary
The first amendment is available online and reads as follows:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
So, the five freedoms are:
1. Freedom of Religion
2. Freedom of Speech
3. Freedom of the Press
4. Freedom to Peaceably Assemble
5. Freedom to Petition the Government for Redress
