Wyoming's national embarrassment, Rep. Liz Cheney has finally been removed from her House Republican Conference Chairwoman position.
The Epoch Times reports that House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) denied it had anything to do with her voting to impeach an innocent man (President Trump).
McCarthy would need to make that assertion, since he, too, has blamed President Trump for the Capitol Breach on January 6. 2021.
The Los Angeles Times reported, "The day the House voted to impeach Trump for helping spur the violent assault on the Capitol, McCarthy opposed the move on procedural grounds. Too rushed, he said, and too inflammatory.
But McCarthy also said this: 'The president bears responsibility for Wednesday’s attack on Congress by mob rioters.' The House Republican leader also batted away the nutty assertion that leftists in the guise of Trump supporters were to blame for the insurrection.
'Some say the riots were caused by antifa,” McCarthy said. “There is absolutely no evidence of that. And conservatives should be the first to say so.'"
McCarthy, quite clearly, will go any which way the political winds blow that he believes will benefit his own political aspirations.
Cheney has doubled down on her stupid and smearing of an innocent man, saying after the ousting, "I will do everything I can to ensure that the former president never again gets anywhere near the Oval Office."
"[The] nation needs a strong Republican Party … based on the principles of conservatism."
“I plan to lead the fight to do that,” she said, according to The Epoch Times.
And what did her doublemint twin, Utah's Senator Willard "Mitt" (aka Pierre Delecto" ) Romney have to say about it all?
According to The Epoch Times, Romney took to Twitter to predict harm to the GOP because of her ouster. Seems to me the pompous ass is practicing up for addressing further moves by the GOP against him,
"'Expelling Liz Cheney from leadership won’t gain the GOP one additional voter, but it will cost us quite a few,' Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) wrote on Twitter."
Recently "Pierre" was loudly booed in Utah by GOP delegates, but he was not censured by the state GOP.
However, later the Weber County GOP DID censure him, and part of the reasoning was specifically because of his vote to impeach an innocent man (President Trump.)
Weber County is a large metro area (Ogden) north of Salt Lake City.
Both Cheney and Romney cast themselves as "Mavericks" like late weasel-extraordinaire Senator John McCain. And both walk the leftard walk, labeling such evil as persecuting and smearing an innocent man as acts of "integrity."
Both have expressed a desire to take the presidency and both have displayed raging delusions of grandeur.
Both need to be removed from office, post haste. Sadly, you cannot recall senators, Voters will have to wait until they come up for re-election to remove them.
